Seattle Piano Company specializes in selling high quality used pianos that are extensively refurbished in house by experienced piano technicians.
Seattle Piano Co sells several brands of used pianos, but there are however, a few brands that we are most partial to.
We strive to provide a large selection of Japanese made pianos by Yamaha and Kawai, American manufacturers Steinway & Sons and Baldwin and European piano makers like Petrof and Schimmel.
We believe these brands stand the test of time, and provide excellent tone and performance.
Our refurbishing process involves a complete overhaul of the pianos internal moving parts, keyboard, finish, brass hardware, and of course tuning and voicing.
When you purchase a piano from us, you're not just buying a used piano. You are buying a piano that has been lovingly refurbished to the highest standard possible.

A few things to note about Seattle Piano Company…

There are a few things you will find that are a little different about our store than others.

Seattle Piano Company is owned and operated by me, Aaron Firpo.
I’ve been working with pianos for about half of my life now and refurbishing them is my life’s passion. I started Seattle Piano Company for a few reasons: one, I wanted to spend my days working on pianos in a cool old brick building; two, I wanted to work with only a select few manufacturers and three, I wanted to provide a store that served the community with pianos that have been brought back to like new condition at an approachable price point.

We don’t have commission based sales people… It’s just me.
I’m sure most stores strive to be low pressure, but I am probably low pressure to fault.
I would love to sell you a piano, but what is more important to me is that you find the piano that is right for you. If for some reason we don’t have the right piano for you, I will happily recommend colleagues from other stores in the area that can further help you find that instrument that you’ve been searching for.

Our used pianos look and sound beautiful.
Each and every piano we sell has gone through a very extensive refurbishing process. This is a hard thing to sum up in a short paragraph, but essentially this is a no screw left unturned procedure that involves dismantling the piano down to its core and extends to very detailed cosmetic and mechanical work which results in bringing our pianos back to like new condition. This is NOT a cost effective process, which is why you will not see work to this degree in most shops across the country. We refurbish to this extent because of a genuine love of the craft.

We have a really cool store!
Our building is over 100 years old and has brick walls that extend 40 feet high. This building has gone through a preservation that has kept it in great shape, but also allowed it to retain all of the character it has developed from over the decades. There is an Alfred Hitchcock movie prop from the film Vertigo hanging from the large wooden beam in our showroom, the remains of a cool old hoist system that used railroad ties to glide back and forth on near our ceiling, and if you’re lucky our resident pug Pizza may be there to greet you.

That’s Seattle Piano Co in a nutshell.

If you are looking for a quality piano that has been thoughtfully reconditioned at an reasonable price, feel free to give me a call or book an showroom appointment on our site. Thanks!

5-Year Parts and Labor Warranty

Buy With Confidence.
Each and every piano we sell comes with our 5-Year Parts and Labor Warranty that will both protect your investment, and keep your piano playing beautifully.

Piano Consignment

Here at the Seattle Piano Company, we do not offer piano consignment... However! We do purchase pianos outright with instant payment. This is great for people looking to consign or sell their piano because they are paid immediately, and it is great for our customers, because we have complete control of our pricing without having to act as a middle man. By owning all of our own inventory we are able to put an intensive amount of work into our pianos without worrying about meeting promised consignment fees.

Used Pianos

When opening our store, we made a conscious decision to sell only used pianos. We did this for a myriad of reasons. Mainly, we just love used pianos. As a piano store owned by a piano technician, we love the satisfaction and challenge of refurbishing pianos to like new pristine condition. This, combined with a collection of ever evolving and changing makes and models keeps our store feeling interesting and fresh.

Trust and Accountability

""We understand that buying a piano, new or used is a substantial investment. There is a lot of information out there, but much of it is filled with conflicting views on what exactly constitutes a good quality piano. Here at Seattle Piano Company we take great pride in the pianos we sell, and the condition that we sell them in. We are happy to openly discuss any details about the pianos in our store. Our showroom environment is one of low pressure, cander, and enthusiasm. We are happy to remove panels to show the condition of the internal moving action parts of our pianos, and explain how they work. At the very least, we hope that you leave our store armed with better knowledge of how a piano works, and the vital things to look for when searching for the perfect piano for you."
